Through Reconciliation we seek forgiveness for our sins and celebrate God’s everlasting love for us. Sin hurts our relationships with God, ourselves and others. In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, penitents receive absolution and God’s grace.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered in the confessional in Our Lady's Chapel on Saturdays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Confessions are also available by appointment or upon request in the rectory.
Children in the second grade at Resurrection School are prepared for First Reconciliation, which they receive in the second grade. Children not attending Resurrection Grammar are prepared in their second grade in the Parish Religious Education Program (PREP), which is Resurrection’s CCD Program. Before a child may receive First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation, he or she must complete two years of formal classroom religious education.
